ROGY Mountain Tennis for Youth
Afterschool ROGY (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow Ball) is for players wanting to improve their tennis game over the course of the school year. Kids ages 3-18 can participate in these classes and grow in the sport of tennis. See below for our classes offered for different ages and skill levels.
- Tiny Tots Class-For kids ages 3-5:
- Play fun games while learning the basic ABCs (agility, balance and coordination)
- Red Ball – For kids ages 6-8:
- Through fun games and drills, players will begin learning the basic skills of proper tennis technique while continuing to increase their hand-eye coordination, consistency, and control.
- OGY (Orange, Green, Yellow ball) – for kids ages 8-18:
- Orange and Green Levels of students may range from beginner to intermediate.
- The foundation will focus on the ABCs of tennis: Agility, Balance, and Coordination along
with technique, movement, scoring and court sense. Stroke production and introductory
tactical play follows. This is the pathway to the high-performance group, tournament
play, high school or adult recreational play. - Green ball players will continue to build the basic skills needed to become a
successful tennis player. Players will be educated in proper tennis etiquette, build
character qualities and broaden their tennis knowledge and understanding. The green
ball pathway will incorporate dynamic movement, technical instruction, point play,
challenging games, and match play fundamentals to gain knowledge, skills, and
confidence to move onto yellow ball with constant evaluation. Green ball players may
play up in U12 yellow ball tournaments and are encouraged to participate in match play
and green ball tournaments. - Yellow ball recreational pathway players will continue to build their player identity and
prepare for competitive play. Players have demonstrated character qualities in previous
levels and are continuing to hone their skills to be consistent in competitive play, along
with learning mental toughness skills.

- The competitive pathway is designed for students wanting to take their tennis to
the next level. The class is by invitation only by Coach Jason or Coach Trevor. Students will be held accountable for their actions. Players wanting to join the competitive pathway class are looking to play high school tennis, in high school, or looking at colleges to play tennis. - Green Ball has the same format but is designed for younger players

Starting 4/30/24 ROGY, we are offering a cheaper rate if you sign up for the whole session and a slightly higher drop-in rate if you want more flexibility. We will not pro-rate the cheaper session prices for any reason, including unplanned absences or signing up halfway through the current session. We have also lowered the drop-in rates: for the 1.5 hour classes, the new rate is $35. For 2 hour competitive classes, the rate is now $45. One hour classes have a $25 drop-in rate.
