2026 Center Court SMASH Announced!
The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is pleased to announce its second annual fundraising gala event, the Center Court SMASH, to take place at Flying Diamond Ranch on Tuesday, July 28. The theme of this year’s event is Great Gatsby- An Evening of Sport, Style & Spectacle. Step back into the roaring 1920s for a glamorous night of tennis, pickleball, and philanthropy inspired by The Great Gatsby.
The evening will feature craft cocktails, a multi-course dinner by Harwigs, entertainment, a live and silent auction and more. Tickets to the Center Court SMASH are $250 per person and go on sale May 1. Table sponsorships from $1K-$20K are available for purchase NOW!
Guests are encouraged to don Gatsby era-inspired attire like Flapper dresses, linen suits, pearls, and bow ties while dancing the night away to upbeat music that blends 1920s energy with timeless sophistication.
Ticket and auction proceeds will contribute to reducing the $5M loan on the Pickleball Center, renovating the Tennis Center, and underwriting programs for youth and nonprofits.
In 2025, the nonprofit’s 2nd annual SMASH event, also at Flying Diamond Ranch, featured a Vintage Palm Springs-theme. The party exceeded fundraising goals, raising $330,000+ in proceeds benefiting the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex. This year, the SMASH committee, led by Co-chairs Britt Havard, Director of Development, Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex, and Lisa Olson, broker with Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty, hope to exceed last year’s proceeds to bolster fundraising efforts for the nonprofit which subsidizes court fees for local nonprofits, offers youth mentoring programs and camps, keeps prices low for the general public, supports seniors and more. Event proceeds will also support the interior renovation of the Tennis Center, which underwent an exterior renovation in 2025.
The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex anticipates a budget of approximately $350K to $500K to renovate the Tennis Center’s interior including updating the entryway, bathrooms, and Mezzanine viewing area. Supporters of the SMASH may earmark their donation to Tennis, Pickleball, or Youth Programming specifically.
Tickets to the Center Court SMASH are $250 per person, with table sponsorships available now starting at $1,000 up to $20,000.
The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is operated by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Court Sports for Life Foundation and donations are tax-deductible. Colorado income tax payers are also eligible for up to a 25% state income tax credit through the Colorado Enterprise Zone program.
