CU Boulder D-1 Women's Tennis team hosts community event at Steamboat Tennis Center

The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is pleased to announce that they will host some of the best female tennis players in the country March 25 and 26, for a free two-day community event. The visiting University of Colorado Boulder Division 1 Women’s Tennis Team will lead one day of Noninstitutional Tennis Camps, followed by one day of Intrasquad Exhibition Matches, for exciting match-play viewing. Both days of events are free and open to the public, with free food and drink provided in the Mezzanine of the Tennis Center following each day of activities.

“A community tennis event of this caliber is the first of its kind in Steamboat Springs,” said Jason Scicchitano, Director of Tennis, Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex. “We wanted to give back to the Steamboat community by offering an opportunity to engage with some of the best female tennis players in the country and inspire both novice and expert Steamboat tennis enthusiasts to “see what we can be,” in regard to celebrating tennis in the Yampa Valley!”

On Tuesday, March 25, from 6:00 PM – 7:30PM a Noninstitutional Camp, open to any and all entrants at any skill level, will take place. Participants will play various games and participate in drills against the Division I University of Colorado Boulder team.

On Wednesday, March 26, from 5:00 PM – 7:00PM, Intrasquad Exhibition Matches will take place amongst D-1 players from the top-seeded University of Colorado Boulder women’s team, providing an exciting opportunity for spectator viewing.
