It has been my passion, over the last ten years to combined my interests in fitness, tennis instruction and the culinary arts to offer programs that educate, encourage, and inspire people towards better health and well being.

The last program that we offered at the center was called , ” A New Year a New You “.  This group met weekly for twelve 90 minute classes.  The time was broken down into 45 minutes fitness and 45 minutes of sharing a healthy prepared lunch and health topic.   Weight and measurement baselines were established for accountability and group support occurred naturally as we spent the weeks sharing recipes, tips for success and the inevitable setbacks that are inherent when a person decides to change.

It is with great enthusiasm that I report of the seven participants in the group five people lost ten pounds each, and the two other’s lost seven and eight pounds respectively. One participant said,  “I’m so glad I started this class, the twelve weeks would have gone by anyway and now I’m approaching spring with momentum.” Another participant wrote, ” The class was fantastic all 12 weeks!! Enjoyed the conversation and camaraderie.  Loved all the lunches, all amazing and inspirational for varying it up at home.”

I enjoy teaching the 12 week format because it allows the group time to implement change and see results they desire.

Now that the series has completed, the group has decided to keep the fitness piece of the program going weekly so they can continue to gain strength and stay accountable.  Prizes will be healthy snacks and recipes to promote continued progress. Optional weigh-ins will be available for those that appreciate that extra level of accountability.

We will be offering these  “Match Fit ” classes Monday’s from 12-1 through the Spring, there will be drop in classes available for people to try.  This summer we will expand the Match fit program and will be offering it 3 mornings per week.
